The Jaipur Arts & Health Festival marks the inaugural city-wide arts and health festival in India, bringing Jaipur into a growing global conversation about creativity, care, and wellbeing. The festival takes place from August 7 to September 7, 2026.
Inspired by the Global South Arts and Health Initiative, the festival brings together facilitators and collaborators from across disciplines — artists, healthcare professionals, and community members — to explore how the arts can shape health and wellbeing in a city context.
As part of this initiative, Jaipur joins a wider movement spanning pavilions, healing exchanges, city convenings, and global festivals, all working to advance arts and health ideas rooted in the Global South.
By hosting this inaugural edition, Jaipur steps into a network of cities including Pune and Mumbai, whose own Arts & Health Festival has already helped establish this movement in India — working together to promote wellness through creativity on both a local and global scale.

Jaipur Arts and Health Festival
The Jaipur Arts & Health Festival is the inaugural city-wide arts and health festival in India — a month-long celebration of creativity, care, and wellbeing held across venues in the Pink City from August 7 to September 7, 2026. The festival brings together artists, healthcare professionals, and community members to explore how the arts can shape health and wellbeing in a city context.
Inspired by the Global South Arts and Health Initiative, Jaipur joins a network of cities including Pune and Mumbai, working together to promote wellness through creativity on both a local and global scale — and inviting facilitators, collaborators, and volunteers to help shape the inaugural program.
Global South Arts and Health
The Global South Arts and Health Initiative (GSAH) is an international arts and health initiative established in 2023 by the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship. Its primary focus is on advancing education, scientific research, and the interdisciplinary practice of arts in health. Through collaborations with local organisations, government agencies, arts and culture partners, academic institutions, professionals, and practitioners, GSAH arts and health global initiatives have reached over 300,000 people globally.
These initiatives foster new collaborations, impact projects, developments, research opportunities, policy conversations, education, and increased awareness of the health benefits of the arts in communities and care settings. GSAH brings together emerging and leading professionals, institutions, scholars, researchers, curators, academicians, educators, cultural practitioners, diplomats, entrepreneurs, medical doctors, health workers, community leaders, development practitioners, policymakers, scientists, artists, advocates, activists, administrators, art therapists, musicians, dancers, photographers, and others for strategic partnerships, cultural exchanges, community building, research practice, scientific advancement, and global development in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
Arts in Medicine Fellowship
Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship was founded in 2017 with the support of the United States Mission in Nigeria and the U.S. Department of State, Washington D.C. GAIMF's vision is to build a Global Network of Arts in Medicine and Arts in Health practitioners, with a focus on SDG 3: Good Health and Wellbeing. GAIMF has admitted 1000+ professionals and students from 60+ countries worldwide. It is currently one of the world's largest Arts and Health networks, with 10,000+ community members.
The Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship offers theoretical and practical learning in the field of arts in health, professional development, mentoring, internships, cultural exchanges, research opportunities, and interdisciplinary collaboration to provide fellows with a global enriching experience with the world's leading experts and institutions in the fields of arts in medicine, creative therapies, and arts and health initiatives. With world-class faculty members, the Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship operates through themed and track-based arts and health programs tailored to provide best practices for professionals and students. The Global Arts in Medicine Fellowship hosts International Arts and Health Festivals, with the participation of professionals and students from all continents.
